World War II Memorial Prayer Act of 2013

The World War II Memorial Prayer Act of 2013 (; ) is a U.S. public law that would direct the United States Secretary of the Interior to install at the World War II memorial in the District of Columbia a suitable plaque or an inscription with the words that President Franklin D. Roosevelt prayed with the United States on June 6, 1944, the morning of D-Day.〔
The bill was introduced into the United States Senate during the 113th United States Congress. A similar version of this bill, , was introduced into the United States House of Representatives and previous versions of the bill passed in earlier Congresses, but never became law.〔
==Background==
(詳細はnational memorial dedicated to Americans who served in the armed forces and as civilians during World War II. Consisting of 56 pillars and a pair of small triumphal arches surrounding a plaza and fountain, it is located on the National Mall in Washington, D.C., on the former site of the Rainbow Pool at the eastern end of the Reflecting Pool, between the Lincoln Memorial and the Washington Monument.
It opened to the public on April 29, 2004, and was dedicated by President George W. Bush on May 29, 2004, two days before Memorial Day.〔(National World War II Memorial )〕 The memorial is administered by the National Park Service under its National Mall and Memorial Parks group.〔(World War II Memorial (U.S. National Park Service) )〕
